[12] Bmw Cafe Racer Making This Week Topic

Diamond Atelier

Germany's Diamond Atelier has created the undeniably cool café racer that BMW should be building instead of letting custom shops have all the fun.

Their new Mark II, limited to 10 examples, was in fact built in collaboration with BMW Motorrad designer Julian Weber, so maybe there's hope. The bikes are based on BMW's 2-valve monolever models that come in 800cc or 1000cc, and are available in three trim levels or stages.

The Stage 1 model will feature a modified original 41mm BMW fork, refurbished original rear shocks, original powder coated wheels, street tires, and 285mm brake discs.

Stage 2 adds custom wheels and semi-slick tires, while the Stage 3 option offers a supersport upside-down fork, CNC-machined triple clamps, Wilbers custom rear shocks, and 320mm aftermarket brakes.

With prices starting at about $24,000 there's serious two-wheel style to be had here – and if you're willing to get one shipped over from Germany, major props for being the only one on the road....
